I found that I was able to backup DAS/SAN storage; however, when running a backup across the network the job would fail with the above error. SQL had not yet started to use the spillover file, but I lost the disk that housed it. As @Aaron pointed out, it will work using EXEC sys.sp_refreshsqlmodule 'Database_A.dbo.TestSP' or recompiling the SP sp_recompile TestSP as well.
