Recently a user had trouble logging on, and when I attempted to login I got the messge, "The system could not access the Credential Manager Server." I do not have anything on my laptop called Credential Manager. You'll have to configure a password to do it for some reason. I was ready to get drunk and do unmentionable things to the computer. Removing Credential Manager fixed the problem.

Just for fun I disabled the multifactor authentication (by enabling password only) under Credential Manager -> MULTIFACTOR AUTHENTICATION.
