Cannot Access External Data Xcelsius

June 18, 2012 by: David Lai In this article I'd like to express my concerns about SAP BusinessObjects Dashboard Design AKA Xcelsius for what I've seen in the last 2 years. I know I can't be the only one.) We have heretofore understood the bug to be that we cannot filter on a WEBI Variable in Web Services. That is, there is a drop down menu that, when the user chooses a new value, the QaaWS fires and the data is updated in my dashboard. Again if no one pushes or shoves the development, BusinessObjects Dashboards will continue to fall behind the competition and continue to lose dashboard customers. his comment is here

Copy the ExportToExcelv2.war into your Tomcat webapps folder 3. Open the Data Manager 4. Add XML connection 5. Set the XML Data URL as http://:/ExportToExcelv2/index.jsp 6. Check the “Enable Send” function. When I click the Refresh Connection button, sometimes the data exports. If you get something like a 400 error (page not found) then the server or port is incorrect. Link the QaaWs data to the cell range where you want the data in Xcelsius, and connect your new dashboard to that cell range 12. There is very limited documentation on BIWS !
