Cannot Access Hard Drive Usb
After some mucking around (i.e., trying different USB ports, shutting down and powering up the hd and/or laptop) it finally listed as a drive on my computer. My System Specs System Manufacturer/Model Number Dell Inspiron 1545 OS Windows 7 x64 CPU Intel Core2 Duo 2.2GHz Memory 4GB Screen Resolution 1366x768 Hard Drives 218GB internal, 500GB external . I changed the cable and followed your instructions on another computer and I managed to get into the WD drive and copy the files. Microsoft is using all consumers to be used as testers and that is why they so much data error reports sent to them.

Where would I get the WD Lifeguard Diagnostic tool? If your drive is partitioned and you still can’t see it, ensure you’ve set a drive letter so you can access it in Windows. Are you telling me I have to format the drive to be able to see it on Windows 10?
